# Laboratory Users
Control access and authorization for laboratory users
## Adding a Laboratory User
These are the authorized personnel that are given access to the use of the software.
To create Laboratory User:
1. Go to **Settings**
2. Go to **Laboratory Users** (under **Security**)
3. Create **Laboratory User**
The following details are to be provided:
* **Email:** The user’s email that was used to register to the Dashlabs.ai’s system
* **Position:** What position in the organization does the user hold
## Adding a laboratory admin
**Administrator** a user that handles all the scopes of the software. Laboratory administrators can add laboratory users who are allowed to access the software and are usually responsible for managing users from the laboratory.
To create Laboratory Admin:
1. Go to Settings
2. Go to Laboratory Users (under Security)
3. Create Laboratory User
The following details are to be provided:
* **Email:** The user’s email that was used to register to the Dashlabs.ai’s system
* **Position:** What position in the organization does the user hold
* **Administrator Check box:** For user to have administrator control
## **Update Laboratory User**
This is where you set up the Permissions and Authorizations for the Laboratory users.
To update Laboratory User:
1. Go to **Settings**
2. Go to **Laboratory Users** (under **Security**)
3. **Expand** the User
4. **Update Access**
5. Select **Lab User Group**
6. Select **Branches**
7. Select **Laboratory Services**
8. Select **Scopes**
9. **Update** (Progress won't be saved until you press update)
## **Delete/Deactivate Laboratory User**
To delete Laboratory User:
1. Go to **Settings**
2. Go to **Laboratory Users** (under **Security**)
3. **Expand** Laboratory User
4. **Deactivate** Laboratory User
